Packing Event Request Form
Please choose from the two types of events below in the form. Many groups collect the groceries through a food drive or donations. If collecting groceries isn’t possible, The SharedDish can provide them instead. Contributions toward grocery costs are always appreciated and help us feed even more families, but they are not required.
Community / Friends & Family / Club Event
Perfect for schools, churches, youth groups, women’s groups, book clubs, sports teams, or just friends and neighbors who want to serve together.
Corporate / Workplace Team-Building Event
We encourage companies to host a food drive as part of the event—it’s a powerful way to serve together and build team spirit!
Supplies Needed

Quart Ziploc bags (for beans, vegetables, and pasta) • Small snack bags (for seasoning)
Measuring scoops/cups
Chopping devices & cutting boards (if chopping)
Gloves, aprons, and sanitizing wipes
Recipe sheets/SharedDish labels
Recipe Book/Scripture Card Supplies (if applicable): Coloring supplies, Laminating machines, Laminating Sheets, Scissors, Hole-Punchers, Ring Binders, Ribbons

It’s This Easy…
PICK A LOCATION - Groups can meet in homes, office spaces, event centers, churches, or other venues
FOOD AND SUPPLIES - Here, there are multiple options. Your group can hold a food drive or gather specific food items from local stores to fill the bags. We’ll guide you step by step! If your group is unable to collect the groceries, we can bring all of the supplies needed for a complete packing party!
COSTS - The only cost is the cost of the groceries needed for the meal you are packing. The average cost for the nonperishables is $7/meal (we provide the perishable items at delivery). For some groups, we will supply the groceries, and your group can donate to the cause!
MEAL DELIVERY - We deliver the meals to various populations in the Dallas area throughout the week. You are welcome to join us and experience the joy of giving!

At the recent event organized by the Trinity Division of US Anesthesia Partners, we successfully packed 300 meals for families in need in the Dallas area. Each meal packed represents not just food, but also a gesture of care and solidarity for those in challenging circumstances. Through teamwork and dedication, we were able to contribute significantly to the well-being of our neighbors.
